Details
The board alternates between two distinct square styles. The first: deep violet glitter squares that shift and shimmer with every change of light. The second: softly blushed marble squares with flower details suspended in the resin, each one accentuated with delicate gold veining. 
 
The playing pieces are cast in two complementary tones. One set is poured in translucent lavender with white swirling marble running through each piece, luminous and graceful. The opposing set is deep amethyst glitter, bold and commanding. Look closely at the dark king and queen: each one conceals a hidden detail, a hand-set black and gold rose nestled into the base, subtle and surprising. It is a quiet flourish that rewards the attentive.
 
Every board receives a final flood coat of resin across the entire surface, sealing everything beneath a glass-smooth finish that is as satisfying to the touch as it is to look at. The resin used throughout is non-toxic and non-yellowing, formulated to withstand temperatures of up to 90 degrees C, so this board will hold its beauty long into the future.
